Friday Nights - 8:00PM High Octane
Simply stated…Broken Chains Church seeks to rescue the broken and beaten-down through an non-traditional approach. By using HIGH-ENERGY rock music, real life Biblical messages that bring the TRUTH alive, and unconditional acceptance of each person that comes through the door, a whole culture of “unreachable” people will begin to be radical followers of Christ.
Happy New Year! Every new year gives us an opportunity to reflect on our life. We remember the blessings that have come our way. We also remember the struggles that have faced us. No matter what the past year has been, we have hope in a new year. In fact, every DAY brings HOPE. In the book of Lamentations, Chapter 3, the writer reflects on God's unfailing love and mercy:
19-21 I’ll never forget the trouble, the utter lostness,
the taste of ashes, the poison I’ve swallowed.
I remember it all—oh, how well I remember—
the feeling of hitting the bottom.
But there’s one other…
It's the time of the year for leaves to transform into warm colors and quickly disappear to the ground. It leaves trees looking bare and barely alive. All too quickly, the branches become covered in snow while we brace for winter. The changing of seasons is a phenomenon we can count on, and even have it predicted on calendars. Daylight Savings Time triggers the flip flop cycle of turning clocks back an hour and pushing them forward an hour. Fall Back, Spring Ahead. For a few days, our bodies seem confused as we try to adjust to the new schedule…
Each year at BCC, we ask Jesus to help us focus on becoming more like Him. One of the ways we do this is by having a theme to guide the year. In past years, the themes have provided a wonderful common goal for everyone at BCC. We have fun creating visual reminders, banners, and props. This year's theme is Upward. Inward. Outward. The scripture reference is Matthew 22:37-39. When someone asked Jesus what is the greatest commandment of all. He answered, “You
must love the Lord your God with all your
heart, all your soul, and all your mind.…
This Lenten season, I asked the Lord to show me something my family could do together, for a spiritual fast. He gave me the Fast Food Fast. For 40 days, we are to eat only what we prepare at home, or occasionally go to a sit-down meal at a restaurant. For my family, this is a tall order. We are on-the-go like most families these days. The pace of life has somehow picked up to the point where an evening meal together is more like a special event than a daily occurrence.
Growing up, the dinner table was a sacred tradition.…
As individuals, we all have unique likes and dislikes that shape our experiences and pursuits. We repeat things we like, and we avoid things we dislike. In our effort to offer diverse worship experiences, BCC offers 2 different weekly services.
The Tuesday night “King’s Café” service begins at 7pm. The purpose of this midweek service is to provide people an opportunity to worship the Lord in a contemporary setting, receive Biblical instruction, and partake in communion on a regular basis. The praise band will lead a time of praise and worship with an upbeat atmosphere. Pastor Deanna will lead these services…
For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death.
The law brings death.
Romans 6:6-14 (ESV)
6 We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. 7 For one who has died has been set free from sin. 8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 We know that Christ, being…
